NEW YEARS WALK 2010
The Hanahan Recreation and Parks Department will be holding a "New Years Walk" at the Hanahan Walking Trail located behind the Senior Center at 3100 Mabeline Rd. If you haven't experienced walking on the trail yet, please feel free to come do so. This half-mile trail backs up to the Goose Creek Reservoir and the front half is also lit at night.
If you have some New Year resolutions that need to get started, or looking to walk off the chocolate truffles and candy canes Santa gave you, come on and see us!! Want to get fit? Come walk the half-mile trail a couple of times as it rolls through the oaks and winds around on the marsh. Need to clear your mind and just enjoy the outdoors? We have park benches for you to come and relax and take in the scenery. Want to feel good about yourself? Not only is getting in shape a good feeling, but when you come out to the New Years walk, bring a donation for the local animal shelter that will be delivered the following weekend! This is a great way to give back to the community while taking advantage of what your community has to offer you!!

So bring a friend or loved one, bring the family, or just bring yourself. Come join us, as we will walk the night away, Monday January 4th, 6:30PM – 8:30PM. If you have any questions please call 266-0723. Donation is not required for walk, but if you are interested in helping out, read below.
There will also be hot chocolate, hot apple cider, and music!!!
We will be collecting for the Doc Williams SPCA animal shelter (www.dwspca.com). Here are what these organizations need:
