Senior Center

Come join us at the Senior Center! Not only does the Center offer a variety of activities, programs, classes and events, it also offers new friendships and lots of laughs. We are located at 3100 Mabeline Road next to the Recreation Department Gym and are generally open Monday – Friday from 9am – 4pm.  Thursday evenings we're open 5:30pm-8:00pm for our snack/dessert covered dish night with line dancing, bingo, billiards, or to spend some time with new friends!

Membership to the Senior Center is free for residents of Berkeley County 54 and older. There is a $20.00 annual membership fee for folks living outside of Berkeley County.

The Center offers classes in Exercise (Sit 'n Fit), Beginner, Intermediate/Advanced Line Dance, Nia (to learn the joy of movement), Flex 'n Flow, Gold Tone Exercise, Zumba Gold, and Art. Prices vary from class  to class but are generally quite nominal. In addition, the Center has a Singing Group, Friendship Quilters Group, Pinochle, Bingo, Canasta, Bridge, Billiards and Bunco.  All you need is a desire to participate. Our members are very welcoming. Try something new; our veteran members will show you how!

We have some great classes starting in January to help make 2012 a great year for your mind, body and soul! We have an introduction to hand and foot MELT on Jan. 9th and 17th. We will begin a Senior Striders walking group on January 4th - join us and enjoy the fresh air, blue sky & social atmosphere! Our Couples Dance Lessons will resume on Monday, January 23rd at 6pm.

I am very excited to announce that Pickle Ball will begin on January 26th!!

In addition to all our daily activities, the Senior Center hosts a variety of events and day trips.
