Senior Center

The Senior Center is located at 3200 Mabeline Road behind the Recreation Dept. and next to the elementary school. Seniors 54 years of age and older are eligible for membership. Our hours of operation will be based on the monthly calendar. If you would like to start a class or speak on a topic relative to seniors, just call the center and we will discuss what arrangements can be made. The phone number is 843.266.0958.

To participate in classes, call the instructor whose name and phone number are located by their class description. To participate in any fitness class, you must have a physician’s release form, signed by your physician. These forms are available for you at the front desk. To enjoy all the activities at the Senior Center, you must be a member.

This month we will be registering everyone and giving you a welcome packet and membership card. This membership card is necessary and it will help you to receive discounts at participating merchants.

Seniors that live in Hanahan or Berkeley County do not pay a fee for membership. There is a yearly fee of $20.00 for those seniors who live outside Berkeley County.

The Center will be closed on most government holidays. Notification of when we are closed will be posted on our monthly calendar.

Many classes are free, but some instructors may charge a fee.

We are fortunate to have speakers avail themselves to us for timely topics pertaining to seniors concerns. Most are free but a reservation for seating is recommended.
