Mural Grant

Over 20% of Hanahan residents surveyed during the Town Center Master Plan process expressed a strong interest in public art, and we’re excited to respond with a new mural grant program exclusively for businesses in the Town Center District. The City is committed to cultivating a vibrant town center, and public art plays a key role in that vision.

For FY23-24, the City has allocated $10,000 to this mural grant program, and we will be selecting one winner.

This is a matching grant, meaning recipients will be reimbursed upon the mural’s completion. Winners will be chosen based on creativity, location in high-traffic areas, and how well the mural reflects the spirit of the City of Hanahan.

Our goal is to offer the Mural Grant annually, enhancing the atmosphere of our town center, drawing in new visitors, and supporting the local business community.
