Park Projects Update: OCTOBER 2024

Athletic Field Light Replacement- Hanahan Recreation ComplexThis bid was awarded. We are extremely happy with the company and their background in this kind of work.This project has already kicked off and material will start to be delivered to site soon.Estimated installation is the first week of November through early January 2025.   Athletic Stadium Seating- Hawk's Nest ParkThis bid was awarded. We are extremely happy with the company and their background in this kind of work.This project has already kicked off and material will start to be delivered to site soon.Estimated installation and completion date is 3/2025.   Bathroom Addition- Hawk's Nest Park Tennis CourtsMet with BluTide Marine Construction to get a better cost estimate for restroom building.We are now awaiting approval of plans so we can move to the next steps for the restroom.  Covered Pickleball Courts- Hawk's Nest ParkSeamon Whitsides will be helping us with the engineering for this project and putting it out to bid. We are just awaiting their engineering plans and will put out to bid.  Bettis Boat Landing-We have been awarded the Federal Grant for the US Fish and Wildlife Boating Access. We had to do a risk assessment that was completed and sent back to SCDNR. We are awaiting the next steps.
