Biography
John Episcopo joined the City of Hanahan Fire Department team in November of 2021. John and his family moved from New York and comes with over 25 years of experience. He started as a Firefighter Paramedic and quickly became intimately involvement with the department. John was Field Training Officer, President of the One Percent Trust Fund, the creator of the Haunted Firehouse and sits on numerous department committees. He is also assigned to the City's Collision Review Board.
John continues to expand his knowledge by working on obtaining various certifications from the South Carolina and National Fire Academy’s. In his spare time he enjoys teaching at the EMS academy, cooking, and spending time with his family exploring SC.
