Park Project Updates: October 2025
Stay up to date on our ongoing capital improvement projects across Hanahan! Here’s the latest progress:
Athletic Field Light Replacement- Hanahan Recreation Complex
The lights at fields 6 and 7 have been retrofitted. Fields 3/4/5 are completed as of 9/24/25. The soccer field and fields 1/2 will be installed after the playing season.
Athletic Stadium Seating- Hawk's Nest Park
Construction has begun and the estimated completion date is November 5th, 2025, due to delays in materials from the company.
Covered Pickleball Courts- Hawk's Nest Park
We are in the redesign phase of this project with Hill Construction. We are moving forward with the design of 4 uncovered pickleball courts.
Bettis Boat Landing-
We are currently working with Berkeley County to put the project out for bid.
Basketball Courts Otranto-
We are working through final redesigns with the engineering company. Once the final redesign is approved, this project can be solicited for bid.
