Emergency Operating Condition
The City of Hanahan’s (EOC) has three (5) basic levels of activation:
Operating Condition 5: Normal operations include regular training, exercises, and preparedness activities. There is no need to activate the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) or operate from the Emergency Operations Plan.
Operating Condition 4: There is the possibility of an emergency or disaster situation occurring. City staff will determine if a partial or full activation of the Emergency Operations Center needs to be activated.
Operating Condition 3: A disaster or emergency situation is likely. City staff will determine if a partial or full activation of the Emergency Operations Center needs to be activated.
Operating Condition 2: A disaster or emergency situation is imminent. The City of Hanahan Emergency Operations Plan is fully activated.
Operating Condition 1: A major disaster or emergency situation is ongoing. The City of Hanahan Emergency Operations Plan is fully activated and is the highest level of preparedness.
