Code Enforcement

Code Enforcement is responsible for the enforcement of the Health and Sanitation Ordinances for the City of Hanahan. We work to educate and encourage the citizens of Hanahan to maintain a neat and clean appearance of the property where they live.

Typical violations:

• Cars and Trucks not currently registered
• Construction equipment not stored in an enclosed building in a residential district
• Commercial vehicles over 13,000 lbs (GVWR) parked within a residential area
• House numbers not posted on the structure
• Grass and weeds over 10" in height
• Trash and rubbish or unhealthy conditions
• Business license not obtained
• Permits not obtained
• Yard debris not in biodegradable paper bags
• Not keeping the property clean
