Code Enforcement is responsible for the enforcement of the Health and Sanitation Ordinances for the City of Hanahan. We work to educate and encourage the citizens of Hanahan to maintain a neat and clean appearance of the property where they live.
Typical violations:
- Cars and Trucks not currently registered
- Construction equipment not stored in an enclosed building in a residential district
- Commercial vehicles over 13,000 lbs (GVWR) parked within a residential area
- House numbers not posted on the structure
- Grass and weeds over 10" in height
- Trash and rubbish or unhealthy conditions
- Business license not obtained
- Permits not obtained
- Yard debris not in biodegradable paper bags
- Not keeping the property clean
